In this second event in Northern Film & Media’s FILM CLUB strand for artist filmmakers, Steven Bode (Director, Film and Video Umbrella) will be in conversation with artist Karen Kramer, one of the recipients of the 2016 Jerwood/FVU Awards.
Their conversation will pivot on Karen’s Jerwood/FVU project, ‘The Eye That Articulates Belongs on Land’ – a piece that oscillates between past and present, illusion and reality, and the fluctuating thresholds of land and sea, to consider man’s complex interaction with the natural environment, and the marks we leave upon it, including the very concept of ‘nature’ itself.
