The Mining Institute will be open for Heritage Open Days 2017 on Thursday 7th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th September.
We are offering tours on the hour 10am through to 4pm (except Friday 10am and 11am) for approx 45 minutes or you are welcome to simply call in and see the Nicholas Wood Memorial Hall where there will also be books and postcards for sale. This year, as well as our new books, there is also a second hand book-sale (all topics, not just mining!).
A special architectural tour of the building runs each day at 2pm with Simon Brooks.
