Bob Longridge, Chairman of Robert Stephenson Trust has undertaken extensive research into three years between 1824 and 1827 when Robert Stephenson was employed by the Colombian Mining Association in Colombia. The talk is lavishly illustrated and gives a fascinating insight into these formative years of the nineteenth century’s greatest engineer. Following a buffet lunch there will be a further talk entitled ‘Colombia – In the footsteps of Robert Stephenson’
